Hi Friends! Software LLC ("we," "us," "our") builds simple, privacy-respecting apps — including Caterpillar Killer, Classroom Tools for Teachers, Potter's Log, Time & Care, Find My Santa, Wrap, and other apps under the Hi Friends! Software name. This Privacy Policy applies to all of them.

Our Approach

We believe technology should feel like a good conversation — friendly, private, and built on trust. Our apps are designed so that your data stays yours. We do not collect, sell, rent, or share personal information, and we do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising services in any of our apps.

Information We Collect

None of our apps collect personal data. Specifically, we do not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, or contact information

  • Location data

  • Device identifiers

  • Usage or analytics data

  • Advertising data

  • Photos, contacts, or other personal content

  • Browsing or search history

How Your Data Is Stored

Where an app stores information (such as classroom notes, session logs, or pottery inventory), that data stays on your device or within your own iCloud account. We cannot see, access, or transmit it. You can delete it at any time from within the app.

  • Encryption: Where applicable, files and attachments are protected with Apple CryptoKit 256-bit encryption.

  • Biometric protection: Face ID or Touch ID can prevent unauthorized access to app data.

  • Local-only design: Our apps do not send your data to external servers.

Third-Party Services

We do not share personal information with third parties, because we don't collect any. Some apps integrate with Apple services (such as Game Center or iCloud); those services are provided and governed by Apple's own privacy policies, not ours.

Tracking and Advertising

We do not track users across apps or websites, and we do not use personal information for advertising or marketing.

Children's Privacy

Because we do not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our apps are designed to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Classroom Tools for Teachers is additionally designed to support compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA): student information remains under the teacher's or institution's control at all times, and it is safe for use in educational settings where students are under 13.

Your Rights

Because we never collect or store your personal data on our servers, there is no information for us to access, modify, or delete on your behalf. All data management happens directly on your device or within your iCloud account.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our apps evolve. Any changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date.
